Highland Park is located in Orkney and claims to have been started in 1798. However, it wasn’t until 1826 that it was licenced. Even though the distillery has changed owners many times over the centuries one thing has remained the same, the traditional distilling process. Highland Park have used the same process for nearly 200 years.
Orkney is a remote location that is perfect for creating their unique blend. Fresh spring water is gathered from the sounding springs. The salty sea air surrounding the island also helps the flavour of their whisky. Highland Park has won the title of world’s best whisky numerous times along with other notable awards.
