Mackinlay’s

Mackinlay’s has been an active figure in the whisky industry for 200 years and is most famous for being the whisky of choice of Sir Ernest Shackleton. Shackleton used the whisky to accompany him on an expedition to the South pole in 1907. 100 years later in 2007 several bottles of the Mackinlays Rare Old Highland Malt were recovered from Shackleton’s Antarctic base. This whisky was reproduced for 2 limited edition releases, The discovery and The Journey.
